Ushering in a new decade at The Anderson, restaurateur Ken Lyon and his partner Hakim Mouslim have updated the storied 1930 location, expanding outdoor bars and dining areas and giving the entire property a refresh.
The Anderson’s outdoor vignettes include:
El Toro – renovated bar and outdoor dining area (62 guests) serving weekend BBQ and nightly tacos, tequilas and mezcal
The Shack – refreshed interior bar and outdoor beach lounge (30 guests) serving tropical cocktails
The Sanctuary - new 1,200-square-foot outdoor oasis (40 guests), ideal for intimate dinner parties, monthly markets and pop ups
The interior Magnum Bar and Supper Club have a new shine and stage, while keeping the beloved piano, animal prints and disco ball. The interior bar and restaurant are currently booking small private parties and slated to open to the public this spring.
Executive Chef Howard Kleinberg is a superstar on the smoker and earned accolades from Bon Appetit’s “Top 10 New BBQ” to Destination America's "BBQ Pitmasters," and Bravos' "Top Chef," against the most elite masters of barbecue. He combines art and science, by personally roasting and smoking all meats, pickling vegetables and creating savory sauces and vibrant salsas. BBQ is offered Saturday and Sunday 12 to 5 pm.
